About Us

We are a community-based initiative dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities through early intervention, rehabilitation, education, and skill development. Our mission is to create an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to grow, participate, and thrive.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Program is a strategy within community development aimed at rehabilitation, equalization of opportunities, and the integration of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). It is implemented through the active participation of the local community including persons with disabilities, their families, and residents and supported by health, education, vocational, and social services, utilizing local resources.

The program focuses on individuals with disabilities who require basic rehabilitation and training in movement, speech, special education, and essential life skills. It is open to individuals of all ages and types of disabilities. The approach emphasizes integrated collaboration among various sectors in planning and delivering services and facilities. PDK is one of the alternatives to institutional rehabilitation, emphasizing care within the community.

PDK Sri Satok is a community-based training center for individuals with special needs. Established in July 2015 and fully operational by September 2015, the center was initially funded by the Petra Jaya Welfare Association (PKPJ). On April 13, 2016, it was formally recognized as a center under the Department of Social Welfare.

PDK Sri Satok was officially registered with the Registrar of Societies (ROS) in 2018.
